Why is my check engine light coming on?

Most cars are designed and engineered to be as safe and durable as possible, but they are still going to require your attention in order to continue working properly. Therefore, when your check light comes on, it means that there is something wrong with your vehicle that needs to be checked out in order to make sure that the vehicle is always going to run smoothly.

There are five main reasons why the check engine light might come on. The first reason is the O2 sensor needs to be replaced. The second reason is that you have a loose gas cap. The third reason is that you need to replace your catalytic converter. The fourth reason is that the mass airflow sensor needs to be replaced. The last reason is that you should replace the spark plugs or the plug wires. Some of the other issues could be a broken hose or a bad radiator.
